Where Are They Now | Sacha Fenestraz

Sacha Fenestraz Jules is a 21 year old French-Argentine driver from Annecy, France who is currently competing in the Super GT and Super Formula category’s. Fenestraz is the 2017 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Champion.

He started his journey when he began karting in 2006 in France and Argentina. He continued to kart through until 2014 where his highest finish was 4th in the Argentinian Championship Promotional. He debuted in single seaters in 2015 where he competed in the French Formula 4, finishing second with three wins and seven further podiums. From there, he joined Tech 1 Racing in 2016 where he competed in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC. He took fifth in both category’s. For 2017, Fenestraz joined Josef Kaufmann Racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup and the Formula Renault NEC while also joining Carlin in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and the Macau Grand Prix. He completed three races in Formula 3 to finish 20th while finished 7th in the Macau GP. 2017 was the year Fenestraz took his title win in the Eurocup while also finishing 6th in the NEC.

He returned to Formula 3 and Macau with Carlin for 2017. His time in F3 was better as he took one win and a further two podiums to finish 11th while also finishing third in Macau. He also accompanied Arden International at the GP3 Series for four races. Fenestraz stuck with Formula 3 in 2019 but moved to the Japanese Formula 3 championship with B-Max Racing with Motopark. In his debut year, he went on to win the championship with eight wins and a further ten podiums. He also debuted in Super GT as he entered the Super GT – GT300 with Kondo Racing. He took a single podium and finished 6th.

As of 2020, Fenestraz has joined Toyota Gazoo Racing Team au TOM’s for the Super GT where he currently sits 8th with three podiums. He’s also completed three races with Kondo Racing in the Super Formula with one podium and at 7th in the current standings.
