Deledda had a different start to racing as he didn’t start in karts. Along with a few other things, Alessio was most known for participating in the Italian Superstock 600 Championship in 2017. He made the move to auto racing in 2018 when he debuted in the Italian F4 Championship after no luck in his previous racing career. He joined forces with Technorace where he finished 39th in the standings. Heading into 2019, Deledda moved to GRS to compete in the Formula Renault Eurocup where he finished 24th in the standings.
FIA Formula 3
2019 marked the year Deledda made his debut to the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing. He raced in 16 races and placed 29th overall in the standings. Alongside this, he competed with the team in Macau where he finished 25th overall.
So far, across the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, Alessio has competed in the F3 Asian Championship with Hitech Grand Prix where he received 21 points and finished 15th in the standings.
Continuing into to his 2020 season, Alessio will be returning to FIA Formula 3 for his second year with Campos Racing where he’ll drive alongside team mates Alex Peroni and rookie, Sophia Flörsch.
