Doohan started his racing career in 2013 when he made his debut to karting. In his first year, he managed to claim 4th in the SKUSA SuperNationals XVII – TaG Cadet and 16th in the SKUSA Pro Tour – TaG Cadet. He competed once again in the SKUSA Pro Tour in 2015 where he placed 20th before making his move to the Australian Kart Championship – KA Junior where he finished 1st. In 2016, he competed in the the Australian Kart Championship – KA2 where he claimed first once more before moving to compete in Europe. During his first year in Europe, Doohan entered both the CIK-FIA European Championship – OK Junior where he placed 3rd and was winner of the Swedish round and the WSK Super Master Series – OKJ where he finished 6th.
In 2018, Jack made the move to single-seaters when he entered the British F4 Championship with TRS Arden Junior Racing team. He also competed with Prema Theodore Racing in the ADAC Formula 4 where he contested in 9 races and the Italian F4 Championship where he contested in 6 races. He finished the British F4 in 5th with a total of 12 podiums and 3 wins. Between 2018 and 2019, Jack competed in the MRF Challenge – Formula 2000, finishing 9th in the standings after five races.
Alongside his stints in Formula 3 in 2019, Doohan also raced alongside Double R in Euroformula Open where he claimed two podiums and 11th in the standings.
FIA Formula 3
Jack headed into the F3 Asian Championship with Hitech Grand Prix in 2019 where he claimed 13 podiums, five of them being wins out of 15 races and taking second in the standings. He also entered the F3 Asian Winter Series with Hitech as a guest driver for three racers where he claimed 2 podiums.
So far in 2020, Jack Doohan has competed in the 2019-2020 F3 Asian Chanpionship with Pinnacle Motorsport where he finished 2nd in the standings with 229 points. He makes the move to the FIA Formula 3 championship this year with HWA Racelab wheres he’s joined by fellow rookie Enzo Fittipaldi and returning driver Jake Hughes for Doohan’s debut year.
