Maximilian Günther

Maximilian started his career in 2007 when he began karting. He took his first podium that same year when he finished second in Bambini A Southern German ADAC Kart Cup. He also took second once more in the Bambini A ADAC Kart Masters in the same year. Max went on to take his first karting win in 2010 at the KF3 ADAC Kart Masters. This was his one and only win before he made the move to single seaters by entering in the Formula BMW Talent Cup in 2011. He went on to take second in the championship with two wins.

Guenther took a year out in 2012 before returning to the ADAC Formel Masters with ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg in 2013 and 2014. He managed to take second in both years, claiming two wins in ’13 and four wins in ’14. From there, he made the move to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He competed with Mücke Motorsport for 27 races and Prema Powerteam for 3. He took a single win with Mücke Motorsport followed by a further two podiums but only managed 8th in the standings. He returned with Prema in 2016 for the FIA F3 European where he took four wins and 9 podiums to finish second in the standings. In 2016, he also competed with the team in the Macau Grand Prix but didn’t finish the race.

He completed his last year in FIA Formula 3 European with Prema in 2017 where he took 5 wins and 11 podiums to place himself third. He also returned for a second year at Macau where he placed fifth. Max graduated to FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2018 with BWT Arden where he took a single win and a single podium to place 14th.
